Flake Video online

Rammstein.com has posted a short, new video of Flake playing a couple of notes on his keyboard. This was posted in a "Blog" section on the website, so it does look like Rammstein is really going to try to keep us informed of what's happening throughout the recording process!

Site Contact

For anyone that's tried contacting me over the last few months (in the about me section) but hasn't been able to because the "capchta" image was too hard to read, I have made it easier to read now.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone (even if you don't celebrate it)!

Rammstein's Upcoming Schedule

The new album will be released some time in the fall of 2009 with a single to precede it in the summer. They'll start touring shortly after the album is released and well into 2010. Many months of touring = many cities and countries (including the Americas, I would assume).

Rammstein also appear to be giving us some hints about a possible theme with the new album. The latest message's header is "Storm Times" and a previous message included the lines "Full Steam Ahead" and "Clear the decks, the Rammstein tanker is once again under steam!" Perhaps another nautical theme?

Video of Christoph in the Studio

A video of Christoph in the studio recording the drum track has been added to the official site as well as to a new YouTube Channel (I am assuming this is an official Rammstein YouTube channel for now - the link will be deleted if I later determine that it is not official). It sounds like you can hear some vocals from Till in the video. Before listening to it, keep in mind that not all of the instrument tracks have been added and no mixing has been done yet. It'll be interesting to see how this will compare to the finished product. Thanks to meingott20 for this info.

More New Album News

From Florian Ammon

- November 2008: Tracking Drums with Rammstein in Los Angeles at Henson Recording Studios.
- Currently in Berlin working on new Rammstein Album for 2009. (this was an older piece of news)

Florian Ammon has previously worked with Rammstein on "Mutter," "Reise, Reise," and "Rosenrot."
With that news, don't expect to see the album this year. If everything goes smoothly (does it ever?), I would expect the album, or at least the first single, to be released sometime in the spring.

Looks like they are in Studio C at the Henson Recording Studios - it's listed as having a long term booking whereas the rest of the studios appear to be available.

New Album News

Basically, pre-production in Berlin is done. Last week, Christoph flew to Los Angeles and met up with Jacob Hellner and his team. Richard and Paul are going to join them this week. A studio will be rented in San Francisco for the whole band to get together and record the album. That should start on November 9th and will probably last a few weeks. It will still take awhile for the album to be officially released, but we're getting closer to finally hearing new Rammstein material!
